Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Foreman to assist our Foreman in overseeing daily construction operations. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, along with a strong understanding of construction methods and processes. The Assistant Foreman will play a critical role in ensuring all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
– Assist the Foreman in overseeing and coordinating all on-site construction activities
– Ensure that the project is being built according to the plans and specifications
– Supervise and train construction staff and subcontractors
– Communicate daily progress to the Foreman and provide solutions to any issues that may arise
– Conduct regular quality checks to ensure work is completed to company and industry standards
– Maintain a safe work environment and promote adherence to all safety protocols
– Keep accurate records of work progress, materials used, and expenses incurred
– Collaborate with the team to develop and implement construction schedules and maintain project timelines
– Order and monitor materials and equipment needed for construction projects
– Assist with estimating and budgeting for upcoming projects
– Comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulations
Qualifications:
– Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction, preferably in a supervisory role
– Strong understanding of construction methods and processes
– Excellent leadership and communication skills
– Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
– Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software
– Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols
– Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
– Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
– High school diploma or equivalent required, degree in construction management or related field is a plus
