We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our dynamic and fast-growing team at Brecks Group. As an Accountant, you will play a vital role in managing the financial aspects of our company, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial operations.
Responsibilities:
– Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records for all financial transactions
– Perform month-end and year-end closings, including reconciliation of accounts and preparation of financial statements
– Prepare quarterly and annual financial reports for management and external stakeholders
– Conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies
– Analyze financial data to identify and resolve discrepancies or variances
– Monitor and track expenses, revenue, and cash flow and provide recommendations for cost-saving opportunities
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement accounting procedures and systems
– Prepare and file tax returns and ensure compliance with local and federal regulations
– Provide support for budgeting and forecasting processes
– Participate in the annual audit process and provide necessary documentation and information to auditors
– Keep abreast of industry trends and changes in accounting regulations and ensure compliance with updates
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
– CPA certification preferred
– Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related role
– Solid knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
– Familiarity with accounting software and tools, such as QuickBooks or SAP
– Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
– Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy
– Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
– Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
– Strong ethical standards and ability to handle confidential information with integrity
