Brecks Group is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team. As the Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our housekeeping staff and ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and a clean, comfortable environment during their stay.
Key Responsibilities:
– Supervise and train a team of housekeeping staff to ensure the highest level of cleanliness and organization is maintained throughout the property
– Develop and implement cleaning procedures and protocols to maintain standards of cleanliness and hygiene
– Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure they are in compliance with company standards
– Conduct inventory and order supplies as needed to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations
– Schedule and assign daily tasks for housekeeping staff, ensuring all rooms are cleaned and maintained in a timely manner
– Liaise with other departments to ensure guest requests and special instructions are communicated and fulfilled
– Perform administrative duties such as creating work schedules, managing payroll, and maintaining employee records
– Respond promptly and effectively to guest complaints and requests, taking necessary action to ensure their satisfaction
– Collaborate with the maintenance team to report and resolve any maintenance issues within guest rooms and common areas
– Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and procedures within the housekeeping department
Qualifications and Skills:
– High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
– Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Housekeeping Supervisor role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting
– Excellent organizational and time management skills
– Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
– Fluent in English, both written and verbal; additional language skills are a plus
– Working knowledge of housekeeping equipment and cleaning products
– Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
– Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate a team
– Proven ability to handle guest complaints in a professional and timely manner
– Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software systems
– Experience with budget management and inventory control is a plus
